Accessibel Accessibel

FAQs

The Accessibel App is calling on a number of phone features, including GPS, mobile data and the camera. You may capture over 50 images on one track. Your phone will be processing a lot of data.

Why is my GPS line jumpy?

A strong GPS signal is dependent on a number of environmental factors. Jumpy GPS readings are expected. Always check you have a good reading before dropping a pin.

Why is the background map blank?

If, or when you switch of Wifi and mobile data, the App will no longer be able to pull in images to draw the details of the map. Before starting you can zoom in and scan the area your profiling with mobile data on, so the map images have been cached.

Why aren't categories showing in the list?

If you have recently installed, or reinstalled the App, it will need to pull in the categories from the server. Make sure you test the App before leaving and check everything is working and all permissions are set-up correctly.

Why is the App lagging and not responding?

If you’re partway through a track an experience intermittent freezing of the App, save your track and restart it with Wifi and Mobile Data off. In remote areas, a very weak Wifi or Mobile Data connection is enough to trigger the App into pulling data, such as map information, or push saved tracks in the background. The weak signal will be slow, and cause performance issues.

Why is my battery life short when running the App?

Accessibel is processor intensive, due to the use of GPS, background tracking and the processing of multiple photos. To free up you phones processor, it is advised to close other Apps. Some may also be working in the background and cause Accessibel to lag. Switch off other services like Wifi, bluetooth and mobile data.

Why does the App stop tracking when my phone goes to sleep?

If you are experiencing this it’s because the location permission wasn’t set-up correctly when installing the App. Check the Installing and Set-up section for more information.

Why can't I see my images in the moderation tool?

Hopefully your images are just taking a while to upload, wait 30 minutes or so and check again. However, there is a chance you may have tried to upload the images on a dodgy wifi signal, which causes a drop off and images may not be uploaded.
